Today (Monday 9th June) marks the beginning of a very important week for all men across the UK, the first day of Men’s Health Week.

For those of you unaware of what Men’s Health Week is; led by the Men’s Health Forum and focussing on health and work, including stress and unemployment, the aim is to get as many men as possible to stop and think about their health.

The goal is the best possible physical and mental health and wellbeing for all men and boys. There is one premature male death every five minutes and far too many men and boys suffer from health problems that could be prevented.

To help in the battle against physical and mental illness YourGP offers a wide range of services including basic, standard, executive and specialist medicals in which we guarantee a fast, efficient and confidential service.

We also run Well-Man Checks which include Testicular examination, Prostate gland examination and a PSA blood test to screen for prostate cancer.

The Well-Man check is appropriate for men of all ages and although some of the procedures can seem invasive, patient dignity and comfort is respected at all times.
