The full national schedule vaccines are available, such as meningitis, flu and MMR. We also offer the meningitis B, chickenpox and hepatitis B paediatric vaccines, as well as the HPV vaccine for boys and girls from nine years old.

Unlike other GPs in Edinburgh and across Scotland, one of the services we offer is to take children’s blood tests in our clinic, which can be done at the weekend, including Sundays.

This is convenient for busy and working parents and carers, as is the fact that results are generally back within just 48 hours.

Flexible service for parents and carers

With our focus being on the entire family, not only the sick child, we are fully aware of the anxieties associated with an unwell youngster.

We also know that it can be difficult to know where to turn for advice or support, and hard to arrange time off work for GP appointments.

To help fit in with your busy schedule, we offer longer opening hours, seven days a week – meaning you don’t need to worry about rearranging your busy schedule or taking time off work.

And as we’re part of the Samedaydoctor network, we can also offer short-notice appointments within 24 hours.

A friendly, calm environment for children

The specialist children’s GPs at the clinic are fully aware of how important a friendly, calm environment is for children, and they strive to make visits as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

They are also fully aware of the anxieties associated with an unwell child, and with longer consultation times of 15 minutes, 30 minutes and one hour, are fully prepared to listen to you in order to help resolve worries, concerns and illnesses.
