Get your flu vaccine early at YourGP
With heavy rain and storms officially marking the end of the UK’s Indian summer, there’s no better time to start thinking about your annual flu vaccination.
Seasonal flu is a highly infectious respiratory illness that spreads rapidly through the population, passed on via coughs and sneezes.
Although flu has been relatively mild in recent years, 904 people were admitted to intensive care with flu last winter, with 98 people dying as a result.
As part of our commitment to convenient, high-quality care, YourGP is always one of the first medical practices in Edinburgh where your seasonal flu jab is available.
We receive delivery a few weeks before the NHS, ensuring availability for those that want it early.
Our annual flu vaccination clinics in Edinburgh are open seven days a week between September and February ‘while stocks last’ – and to ensure you stay protected, we recommend having your flu jab each year.
The vaccine, a single injection, is available to adults and children from six months old.
