    YourGP’s Dr Phimister is passionate about helping people improve their diet and lifestyle to enhance their overall health and wellbeing. He believes that what, where, when and how you eat can have a direct effect on your mind and body. So, as part of YourGP’s 20th anniversary celebrations, we asked Dr Phimister to share his top 20 ways to eat well.     1. Stop eating processed foods
    2. Eat organic when possible
    3. Wash vegetables and fruits with water and a splash of vinegar to remove pesticides
    4. Stop buying packaged foods
    5. Don’t have energy drinks, fizzy juice, fruit juice
    6. Instead, drink filtered water, tea and coffee
    7. Homecook your meals from scratch
    8. Think of vegetables as the healthiest carbs
    9. Aim to fill half your dinner plate with vegetables
    10. For breakfast try eggs, high fat yogurt with berries, or an avocado
    11. For lunch, opt for soup or salad with protein
    12. Snack on nuts, seeds and dark chocolate that is more than 70% cocoa
    13. Eat smaller portions
    14. Eat with family or friends
    15. Eat together at a dining table or in the great outdoors, but never in front of a screen
    16. Eat slowly
    17. Eat 3 hours before bed
    18. Try intermittent fasting, 12-16 hours fast
    19. Be grateful for your food and those involved in bringing it to you
    20. Enjoy food
