Parking & Directions
We now have two practices in Edinburgh, one based in Dean Village and one based on Dundas Street. Please find information below on both parking and directions for each of these two locations.
Waterside House

Based in the heart of Dean Village, our Waterside House practice is situated on Hawthornbank Lane in a picturesque location beside the Water of Leith.
You can access Hawthornbank Lane from Belford Road.
Parking
We have parking available, on the right of Hawthornbank Lane just before you reach the practice itself. Please note that spaces are limited, if you are unable to park in our car park we would ask that you use the metered parking on Belford Road.
Public Transport
If you are travelling by train, Haymarket Station is a 15 minute walk from the practice. If you arrive into Waverley Station it will take around 30 minutes to walk to the practice. If you decide to travel by bus, you can get a number of different buses to the West End, Haymarket or Princes Street and walk to the practice.

Dundas Street

Based in Edinburgh’s New Town, our recently opened second practice is situated at 53 Dundas Street.
Dundas Street is ideally placed for access from most areas of central Edinburgh, particularly Princes Street and Stockbridge.
Parking
We have parking available (see below map for location of the car park, which is the RED marker) on South West Cumberland Street Lane. Please be advised that we politely request that all patients reverse into the car park, which makes parking easier for all visitors. If the car park is full, there is metered parking on Cumberland Street and in the surrounding areas.
Public Transport
If you are travelling by train, Waverley Station is a 15 minute walk from the practice. If you decide to travel by bus, the number 23 and number 27 buses stop beside the clinic on Dundas Street. A number of other buses stop in the centre of Edinburgh within reasonable walking distance of the practice.

I was in significant amount of pain and was seen very quickly by Dr McFarlane. He was able to immediately identify the problem. He carried out the minor surgery immediately, with great skill. I would not hesitate in recommending him as an excellent GP.
