From illness and injury prevention to diagnosis and treatment – a good doctor can make all the difference to an individual’s health and can play a pivotal role in helping them lead a happier and fuller life. Dr McBride understands this better than most, and has been guided by this ethos right from the beginning of her career path.

It began with a medical degree at the University of Edinburgh, after which she embarked on surgical training before changing to general practice – becoming a fully qualified GP in 2017.  Over time, Dr McBride became increasingly interested in the relationship between work and health, and obtained a Diploma in Occupational Medicine in 2022. Soon after, she was appointed to the position of YourGP’s resident Occupational Health specialist.

Outside the practice, Dr McBride enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including mountain biking and hiking, and she is passionate about spreading awareness of the positive effects of exercise on people’s physical and mental well-being.

One way Dr McBride enables patients to get active is by offering joint injections which can provide effective pain relief. For many people, this can transform the way they feel – allowing them to do things they previously couldn’t, and empowering them to get the most out of life.
