A visit to YourGP, one of Scotland’s leading private medical practices, is always a friendly and reassuring experience – and your path to health and wellbeing always begins with our reception staff.

Our friendly and attentive team are on hand to provide a warm and inviting environment to all visitors to our private health clinic in Edinburgh, and two of the first people you will meet are our new medical administrators and receptionists, Tina and Andrew.

Tina and Andrew bring a wealth of experience to YourGP, and they share our dedication to providing the highest levels of care in a way that is convenient, confidential and caring.

They make sure our patients receive the best possible service, and that all paperwork is completed quickly and efficiently to ensure smooth running of the practice.

This includes organising appointments and data entry, to handling the transport of samples and letter dictation.

Working with patients for 20 years

Originally from Devon, Tina was brought up in Fife and studied at Telford College, where she focused on surgical electrolysis, anatomy, physiology and endocrinology.

She has been working with patients and involved with patient care for over 20 years. Before joining YourGP, she owned her own clinic that specialised in aesthetic work, and was then patient liaison at another private aesthetic practice in Edinburgh.

Having specialised in aesthetic work in her previous role, Tina, an indoor archery gold medallist, is targeting ways to build the aesthetics side of the business at YourGP.

Since joining the team, she has also discovered an interest in children’s vaccinations. As she says, “It is an honour to be able to soothe a worried mother’s anxiety away.”

Tina describes a typical day at YourGP as a “whirlwind of travel clinics, sexual health, gender clinics, paediatrics and GP consultations” – and it is those procedures and treatments that Andrew is looking forward to gaining a more in-depth knowledge of.

    Friendly ethos and atmosphere

Born and raised in Sunderland, Andrew studied English at Northumbria University before earning a place at drama school in London.

For the last ten years, he worked as an actor touring theatres throughout the UK, and spent time freelancing with children’s publishing companies.

Having fully settled into his new role, Andrew, who writes plays for theatre, has been impressed with the variety of his role and the friendly ethos and atmosphere of YourGP.

Well, that’s what he told us anyway. He is an actor after all…

If you want to speak to Tina or Andrew, you can get in touch with them on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.

Your customer care which is extremely friendly, relaxed and professional has made all my visits easy and comfortable. Many thanks for your care and understanding in what for me was a difficult time.
