Position: Gender Specialist
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: Flexible (minimum 2 sessions per week)
YourGP is recruiting a doctor within our Edinburgh clinic, either a Gender Specialist or a GP with special interest in this area.
YourGP serves to diagnose and treat adults and adolescents with gender dysphoria through a biopsychosocial care pathway, involving a multi-disciplinary team of doctors and psychiatrists/psychologists.
Dr Lyndsey Myskow currently leads YourGP’s gender clinic, along with her colleague Dr Chin Chong. Dr Myskow is one of Scotland’s leading specialists in the area of gender dysphoria and Dr Chong is an active member of the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists (BAGIS). There is also a GP with special interest in Gender Dysphoria who supports the team, in addition to a group of psychiatrists and psychologists who provide second opinions on patients to assist in the diagnosis process.
YourGP sees many patients from across the country due to the lengthy waiting times within the NHS, and to ensure demand can be met we are looking to expand the existing team. The role is part-time, with flexibility on hours, and we are interested to hear from both experienced Gender Specialists as well as GPs that may have a special interest in this area, or be willing to learn. Full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidate.
Please apply in writing with CV to Dr Lyndsey Myskow, Medical Director.

To be able to attend a clinic where I am very obviously accepted by everyone there is a great start. To follow it with an hour with Dr Myskow listening, guiding and supporting me and my loved ones as I began to live my life for real as a Transman has made me feel less afraid or isolated
