Nothing gives YourGP’s resident Podiatrist, Endija Skopane, greater pleasure than seeing her patients walk out of the clinic with a new-found spring in their step after solving their feet issues.
Originally from Latvia, Endija has lived in Edinburgh for six years, during which time she has attained a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry, as well as undergone extensive additional training in sports taping, steroid injections, dermal fillers for feet, and toenail reconstruction.
Endija is passionate about raising awareness about the importance of looking after one’s feet, and is dedicated to keeping up to date with the latest research and treatment methods. From joint and muscle pain, to ingrown toenails, corns and verrucas, Endija aims to reduce pain and offers long-term solutions to problems where possible.
Her advice for keeping your feet in tip top condition is to get any niggling aches and pains seen to right away before they have a chance to develop into something more serious. Thankfully, Endija offers emergency appointments so patients can do just that.
When Endija is not at the clinic assessing people’s feet, she’s putting her own through their paces by enjoying the city’s many scenic walks. Of course, she practices what she preaches by stretching, massaging and moisturising them afterwards!Back to all staff
After being written off by chronic pain team and their physios, and losing faith in the physio discipline, I had no expectations from Peter. I am amazed at what he has done for me. Although I still have my pain I, at last, understand what’s happening, why and how to best manage it. Peter has given me the control back. I recommend Peter to anyone I meet who needs a good physio.
