Amy Gannon

Practice Nurse

YourGP is proud to have a team that goes above and beyond, and that’s certainly true of our Practice Nurse, Amy Gannon. Day in and day out, Amy goes beyond the call of duty in her commitment to health promotion and prevention. In fact, she even continues her good work in her spare time too.

As well as having a Nursing degree to her name, Amy’s background includes valuable experience working in infectious disease and sexual health, plus over a decade working in travel medicine, which she studied at The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Amy thrives on the patient interaction here at YourGP, and the fact that no two days are ever the same keeps her role exciting and rewarding. She loves working with families, so much so that in her spare time, you’ll find Amy volunteering with families, passing on her in-depth knowledge of infant feeding and providing vital support.

Back to all staff

I needed a quick appointment as I was leaving for America. The doctor listened and allayed any concerns. It was a pleasure to talk to a doctor who wasn’t watching the clock and not paying attention to me. I left confident that if a problem arose I would be able to deal with it until I arrived home. The experience left me feeling confident and positive.
