February is officially LGBT+ History Month, the aim of which is to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of everyone. YourGP is proud to support the LGBT+ community in a variety of ways, particularly through our safe and welcoming Sexual Health Clinic and Gender Clinic.

Sexual health screening for complete peace of mind

YourGP offers a comprehensive range of STI/STD tests, including screening for hepatitis, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhoea. We can offer tests from 28 days after the risk contact, with a fast turnaround of results and effective treatments available if necessary.

We also provide a range of specialist HIV tests, including the Early Detection Test (also known as Multiplex) which can detect the HIV virus from 10 days post contact, with results available in just three working days.

In addition, we provide the HDUO Rapid HIV Test which can detect the HIV virus from 28 days post contact, with results available the same day, on weekdays and Saturday mornings, or the next working day.

Those who would prefer an even quicker result can take advantage of our Instant Same Day HIV Test which is over 99% accurate in detecting the HIV virus from 90 days post contact. A small pinprick of blood is all that is required and results are available within just a couple of minutes.

For anyone experiencing a mismatch between their biological sex and their gender identity, we’re here to listen, help and support you through your choice of treatment.

YourGP’s aim is to provide each individual with the space and time to fully understand what they are going through. Our team of highly qualified doctors have a wealth of knowledge on the subject and have guided many people through their successful gender reassignment journeys.

Our Gender Clinic is open to anyone aged 17 or over and we’re also happy to work with our patients’ friends and family to help them understand the complex issues surrounding gender identity.
