Physiotherapy, carried out by Peter Davies, helps many people afflicted by illness, injury or disability to regain and improve their flexibility, movement and body function. Physiotherapy employs a wide range of different treatments, depending on the nature of the problems being treated. These include manipulation, massage, traction, muscle stimulation and proprioceptive training.
The health issues that physiotherapy can treat include:
- Sporting injuries
- Spinal problems, back and neck pain
- Headaches and dizziness
- Shoulder problems (Impingement/Instability)
- Wrist and hand pain, tennis elbow, golfers elbow
- Hip, knee, ankle and foot pain
- Poor posture
- Chronic pain
Where appropriate, Peter works closely with other experts (such as consultants, podiatrists and acupuncturists) to get the best result for his patients.
How It Works
Your first visit will involve a detailed assessment of your current problem , your medical history and any issues that might be influencing your condition. Treatment options will be discussed and a treatment programme will be designed to meet your specific needs.
Subsequent treatment sessions will usually last 30-40 minutes. This duration may be adjusted, based on your individual needs and the level of complexity of your treatment regime. The number of treatments you’ll need will depend on the nature and duration of your condition.
For lower extremities and back pain, you’ll need to bring loose fitting shorts and a t-shirt. For upper extremities and neck pain, a bikini top, bra or loose fitting t-shirt are recommended. Gowns and modesty towels are always available.
30 minute session: £45.00
“After being written off by chronic pain team and their physios, and losing faith in the physio discipline, I had no expectations from Peter. I am amazed at what he has done for me. Although I still have my pain I, at last, understand what’s happening, why and how to best manage it. Peter has given me the control back. I recommend Peter to anyone I meet who needs a good physio.”View more testimonials
