Eating Disorders

Our resident psychologist and eating disorders counsellor, Connie Weir, has worked with us since the practice opened in 2003 and holds a diploma in counselling for eating disorders.

Connie believes that listening to a person’s circumstances and their reasons for recovery are crucial.

Although there are common threads in any eating disorder, the path to recovery is unique to the individual. Connie works with a persons resources and works to get any obstacles into perspective, as well as reducing anxiety, as making changes can be daunting.

Connie works with anyone aged 14 and over and can help with:

  • Anorexia Nervosa
  • Bulimia Nervosa
  • Binge eating
  • Exercise addiction

How it Works

You will be seen in a private and totally confidential environment and Connie will listen and talk to you about your problems.

  • The treatment session lasts from 1 hour to 1.5 hours
  • Your privacy and confidentiality will be respected at all times
  • Treatment options will be discussed at your initial appointment

Price

One Session (up to 1 and a half hours) – £75.00

I was surprised to meet a GP with such a ready smile and willingness to give me the time I needed. I felt we had a conversation as equals and that she actually heard what I said. A couple of blood tests, a physiotherapy referral and I am better than I have been in a very long time
