Opportunity for an experienced GP with drive and commercial thinking to join an established, profitable and ambitious private GP business.

The position is both managerial and practical, with the ideal candidate possessing NHS and Private experience. We are looking for someone with strong leadership and organisational skills, who will lead and develop the clinic as Medical Director. You must be passionate about delivering patient care as well as managing and achieving organisational success, with entrepreneurial attributes essential. Other skills which would be beneficial would be sexual health and occupational health. This can be a full-time or part-time position.

You have to be a strong communicator with a commitment for excellence and forward thinking in terms of practical applications of latest health concepts, assessments and treatments. The right individual shall possess a strong commercial sense.

You will be joining an excellent management and admin team along with 8 self-employed GPs, 2 Practice Nurses and 2 Healthcare Assistants; all in a delightful riverside working environment in the centre of Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to acquire equity in the business.

Key Functions of the Role

  • Practise as a private GP in addition to undertaking management functions.
  • Hold a senior position with the practice and report to the company directors.
  • Responsible for a number of activities related to the delivery of medical care and clinical services such as cost management, utilisation review, quality assurance and medical protocol development
  • Manage strategic development with recruitment and expansion of clinical services offered
  • Leads planning for the development of new clinical programs and projects
  • Oversee the activities of YourGP’s clinical staff
  • Work with the relevant teams to ensure continuous compliance with clinic and regulatory standards

Salary is negotiable according to experience and medical indemnity will be provided by YourGP.
