Scottish Vein Centre
Dr McBride qualified in 1982 from Trinity College, Dublin and trained in vascular and transplant surgery before becoming an Interventional Radiologist.
Since 2004, he has combined his skills in ‘key hole’ techniques with his experience in vein surgery to pioneer a new ground-breaking ‘walk in, walk out’ technique to effectively treat varicose veins totally under local anaesthetic. Dr McBride is now considered an international expert in key-hole vein procedures. He lectures regularly about the new vein treatments in an effort to convert as many other vein doctors as possible to adopt non-surgical methods.
To improve the availability of laser vein treatment and other vein treatments and to increase patient choice Dr McBride established the Scottish Vein Centre in January 2006. This well-respected organization is now based at YourGP’s clinic. This allows Dr McBride to offer his expertise in non-surgical varicose vein treatment as part of the clinic’s commitment to the highest levels of cosmetic care.
